Book Your Structural Airway Evaluation

Advanced 3D imaging to uncover the structural causes of airway restriction, breathing issues, and poor sleep.
Your structural airway evaluation includes:
  • CBCT Scan: Assesses jaw development and tongue posture to identify any airway restrictions
  • Orthodontic Imaging: Measures palatal width, dental arch form, and available tongue space
  • Clinical Assessment: Personalized treatment plan developed by Dr. Trivedi, focused on addressing root causes

What to Expect from Your Structural Evaluation

A diagnostic journey through the structural and functional foundations of your breathing. We utilize advanced 3D imaging and functional assessments to map your path to optimal health.
phase 1

Functional Sleep Analysis

Your evaluation starts with an FDA approved, at-home, medical-grade sleep ring. We analyze eight key sleep metrics over 3 nights giving a precise picture of how your anatomy may be driving your sleep and breathing patterns and overall health and wellness.

Wear Your Sleep Ring

We ship you a medical-grade sleep ring that connects to your phone to collect data over 3 nights.

Sleep Doctor Review

A physician reviews your sleep and breathing data to build a clear picture of your airway function.
phase 2

Structural Airway Analysis

A quick CT scan of your head gives us a precise, 3D look at your airway structures to understand exactly what's happening.
assessment

Total Airway Volume

The full space available for airflow through your upper airway.
assessment

Tongue & Palate

How the size and position of your tongue and palate interact.
assessment

Tongue Function

How your tongue moves and rests affects airflow, swallowing, and breathing patterns.
assessment

Sinus Cavity

The structure and openness of your sinus passages and their role in nasal airflow.
PHASE 3

Clinical Treatment Plan

By this point in your evaluation, we know exactly what your airway needs. We present the treatment pathways that fit your specific anatomy so the path forward is never a guess.
Pathway
Description
MASPE
The most comprehensive expansion pathway. Temporary mini screws anchor directly to bone, enabling true skeletal expansion with maximum nasal breathing and airway volume improvements
BREAS
A non-surgical appliance that combines palatal remodeling with dental alignment through gentle, biomimetic forces. Designed for patients seeking meaningful structural change without surgery or mini screws.
EAS
A removable aligner-based system that gradually widens the dental arch. The most comfortable entry point for patients with mild restriction — minimal lifestyle disruption, no speech impact.
Myofunctional Therapy
A structured exercise program that retrains the muscles of the tongue, lips, and face. Designed to correct dysfunctional breathing and swallowing patterns that contribute to airway restriction.
Tongue Tie Release
A minimally invasive procedure that releases restricted lingual tissue to restore full tongue mobility. Often a foundational step before or alongside other airway expansion pathways.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Structural Airway Evaluation?

It's an in-office assessment that gives us a precise, three-dimensional look at your airway structures. Using advanced 3D imaging, such as a CBCT scan, we build a complete structural picture of what may be contributing to your breathing and sleep issues.

  • What is a CBCT scan and is it safe?

A cone beam CT scan captures a precise, three-dimensional view of your airway, jaw, nasal passages, and surrounding structures — giving us far more clinical detail than a standard dental X-ray. It uses a significantly lower dose of radiation than a medical CT scan and is routinely used in advanced clinical settings.

  • How long does the appointment take?

The full appointment is one hour. That includes the scan, impressions, and photos — as well as a clinician walking you through your findings and our suggestions.

  • Do I need to complete the Sleep Analysis first?

We recommend starting with the Sleep Analysis if you haven't already. Together, the sleep data and structural imaging give us the most complete picture of your airway. That said, you can book the Structural Evaluation independently if your situation calls for it.

  • What happens after the evaluation?

Based on your functional and structural findings, we'll recommend a personalized treatment pathway — which may include expansion solutions, myofunctional therapy, tethered tissue release, or a combination depending on what the data shows.

  • Is this covered by insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, we provide a full report along with the dental and medical codes you'll need to submit to your provider and request reimbursement on your own.
